National Heritage Open Day at Weaste Cemetery, 13th September 2009

This year we organised a morning and afternoon Guided Tour. Pete Kilvert conducted the tours and talked about 30 local people buried at Weaste including Sir Charles Halle, who formed Manchester’s famous Halle Orchestra in 1857 and Eddie Colman, one of Manchester United’s “Busby Babes”, who perished in the Munich Air Disaster of February 1958.
